Last month, I wrote about The FOOD Kitchen Series and mentioned that I will share our scrumptious meal. We don’t have any idea what they will serve us but the truth is, I’m really excited when they announced our lunch will be at Restaurant 101.
Restaurant 101 is the application restaurant of Enderun Colleges. 101’s seasonal menus are conceived by Enderun’s renowned culinary faculty to showcase the traditional French cuisine. Aside from the fine dining services anyone will notice restaurant’s elegant interior.
Salmon Fillet mi cuit, caper herb dressing and warm potato salad – at first sight I never thought it’s a salmon fillet for it is covered with caper herb dressing. The latter and natural taste of salmon blends well, producing a unique flavor. Mi cuit means half cooked but not raw.
The warm potato salad is very light and complements to the Salmon fillet. It was new to me but I was able to love it at first time.
Chicken Basquaise, stewed sweet peppers, Bayonne Ham: This is definitely my favorite food served that day. It’s very tasty. The chicken is a bit crispy outside while the meat is so tender and flavorful . I almost finish the first piece when I noticed that it’s boneless. The presentation adding the colors of vegetables like peppers and potatoes has made it very appealing, not to mention the aroma. Each bite has become an unforgettable dining experience.
Restaurant 101 is the only restaurant in the Philippines that offers Louis XV.
This heavenly delicious dark semi-sweet chocolate cake is layered with chocolate crisps, ganache and praline bar. Its gold leaves has made it very popular here and abroad but I think overall taste, texture and sweetness has made this chocolate cake one of the world’s renowned dessert. A friend told me that I ‘m so lucky I was able to taste the “King of all desserts”. The only place you can have this heavenly good dessert is here at Restaurant 101 in the Philippines and at La Louis restaurant in Monaco.
