Jonel and I joined Manila Hotel in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Here's a photo blog of today's festivity, it's a little picture-heavy post. :)
Chandeliers decorated with red and gold lanterns to welcome the Lunar New Year.
The festivity started with the traditional animated performers of a special dragon and lion dance dancing to the vibrant beat of drums.
Display of imperial horses at the grand lobby.
My outfit of the day (OOTD)
A 10 year old red bag with metal on both sides courtesy of my late grandma, Nina. Shoes I bought at Vincci in Kuala Lumpur, charms/bracelets from Hong Kong night market, black necklace from @TheaBoutique, black earrings from VeraModa.
It's been a long time since sister, Tina and I celebrated the Chinese New Year together.
Around 10 am, a special blessing ceremony lead by Hong Kong based Feng Ghui Master Vittorio Chau was held at Manila Hotel lobby.
You may also get place your wishing cards inside Ang Pao then hang it at the Peach Tree.
Aside from food, I'm always excited with dragon and lion dancing. It has been my favorite part of Chinese New Year celebration. How about you?
After the blessing ceremony, we had a special New Year lunch prepared at the Mabuhay Palace.
Did you miss today's event at Manila Hotel? The Wish Cards Offering at the Grand Lobby will continue until Sunday, February 2. Moreover, Mabuhay Palace offers a special Chinese New Year Set Menu for P3,000 per person until February 12, 2014.
Happy faces welcoming the Lunar New Year...
