Few weeks ago, we met one of the greatest culinary icon of all times,
Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. He came
to the country to prepare a
one-of-a-kind five course meal set in a dinner gala held at the
Sofitel Philippine Plaza called
“Feast of Colours”. It's a benefit dinner for the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation.

The highlight of the meal was a dish, we Filipinos are very familiar,
adobo. However, Chef Zakarian prepared it using carefully selected ingredients not frequently found in our version of adobo. He also experimented on different vinegar and used his world-class style of cooking thus
Adobo Spiced Pork Belly was created.

Geoffrey Zakarian continues to do what he does best. Currently he is the creative culinary force behind some of the most revered restaurants in one of the world’s culinary capitals, New York City.

Chef Zakarian’s famous New York restaurants include the
Lambs Club, and the
National Bar and
Dining Rooms. Most recently he was named culinary director of the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York, one of the most famous and prestigious hotels in the whole world.

Feast of Colours was held on March 20, 2014 at Sofitel Manila. The gala dinner was for the benefit of
Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation.
