Holiday Destination: Sky Ranch Pampanga |
Welcome to Sky Ranch Pampanga!
Are you tired of thinking and planning where to spend the holidays? Located in San Fernando, Pampanga and about an hour or so from Manila, the newly opened theme park Sky Ranch Pampanga is a great holiday destination for the whole family. It was great Tuesday afternoon, me and few blogger friends were invited to visit Sky Ranch in Pampanga. From SM North EDSA, traveling to San Fernando Pampanga was such a breeze. Glad there was a very light traffic going back and forth Manila. I did not expect anything, all I wanted is a quick break from Manila traffic. I haven't been to any Sky Ranch like the one in Tagaytay so I was excited to visit Pampanga. An hour later, we arrived in SM San Fernando where Sky Ranch is located.
Pampanga Eye |
If there's MOA Eye, then you should see the Pampanga Eya. Sky Ranch is the home of the tallest "ferris wheel" in the Philippines.
In addition, it's the first amusement park, newest destination and geographically advantageous for both local residents and tourist in the North of Luzon.
The amusement park was recently opened to the public last November 30 but we were lucky to experience it before the grand opening. The celebration started with a welcoming remarks from Sky Ranch executives, a talk from Mayor Edwin Santiago of San Fernando Pampanga followed by Catholic blessing ceremony around the theme park.
Considered as the tallest and biggest in the Philippines with 65 meters in height and 50 meters in diameter. Pampanga Eye is composed of 32 air-conditioned gondolas and each gondolas can accommodate 4 persons. The wheel can accommodate 128 persons per cycle.
Aside from rides, there were booths wherein kids and adults can win hug-able bears and stuffed toys. Feeling like a child again, I spent more time fishing and brought home several stuffed toys.
A modern “caterpillar” ride called Music Express which gives the spinning sensation of a round up. You will go spinning, flipping and twirling in this exciting ride which will make you shout for excitement. I wonder if it plays great music while spinning. I wouldn't dare try it, takot ako!
Above photo was my favorite, the Fishing area. You will definitely bring home something, even a small stuffed toy. It's so easy you just have to get a fish, the heavier it is the bigger stuffed toy you get!
Everyone loves the Carousel but here at Sky Ranch, they created Double Decker Carousel. The horses rotates in counter-clockwise/clockwise direction and moves up and down. I like that the speed is adjustable since I'm really afraid of fast moving rides, lol! Kids and adult above 4 ft. can experience the ride.
Can this one bring me to the universe? Lol! Space Shuttle brings excitement the same as Top Dancer of Tagaytay and Astroliner of SMBY. It swivels with three cycle going to the right and three cycle going to the left.
Next is the famous Octopus Ride.
If you're adventurous then try the Loop Coaster.
I'm fine with in this gorgeous Double Decker Carousel.
Of course, I wouldn't like to miss the Pampanga Eye.
