A Thanksgiving Day I'll Forever Cherish

I woke up early that morning and the first words I heard from my husband was "Excited ka na?". I replied with a smile and hugged him tightly. My blog's new look, new vibe, the thanksgiving get-together - all these would not be possible without the help of my dear Jonel.

The day I've been waiting for has come! I was excited, happy, and undeniably very nervous, all at the same time.

At the back of my mind, I was wondering what if no one comes to my blog re-launch? With that, my husband reassured me that it's going to be okay, if no one arrives then the two of us will celebrate the turning of a new leaf for LivingMarjorney.com. :)

Living Marjorney, a Brief History

This Thanksgiving Day is a bit advanced actually, my 5th year anniversary has yet to happen this October. But we decided to take this opportunity in the onset of the new year to turn a new leaf as well, hence this occasion and the rebranding of my blog.

It was a fulfilling and eventful past 4 years. I started with a blogspot URL and it was Aileen Siwa helped me get the URL www.LivingMarjorney.com back in 2011. 

In 2012, John Japhet made a blog header for my blog, you can check it out here. I'm still using the logo for my Facebook Page's Profile Pic though.

Stay tuned as I share the concept behind, and how our new blog name, Woman In Digital, came to be and where we are going from here in my next blog post!

Preps for Thanksgiving Day

We left the house quite early to check the venue of our official food sponsor - Greenwich Pizza - in SM North EDSA. We've actually been to this branch a couple of times since it was renovated last year but I never had a chance to peek inside their new function room that can accommodate more than 25 guests.

I also sought the assistance of my sister and fellow blogger Tina to come early and help us in preparing the souvenir items.

In the past five years, the memories of my blogging career is literally kept in a box. I kept my funny, cute, and romantic photos from different occasions and events and I had them displayed on the walls of Greenwich Pizza's function room.

I thought of sharing the memories with the guests who I thought would also love to see the photos and reminisce.

My fellow bloggers, reader guests, and friends from the PR industry started to come one by one.

Even before the program proper started, my Greenwich family has already set the buffet table with mouthwatering Greenwich Pizza variants and my all-time favorite lasagna supreme.

The invitation was for a 2 pm gathering but I showed-up at 2:45pm to give the guests time to look around and see the photos on the wall. I also want them to enjoy the food before we started the program. I am thankful for the warm welcome and greetings when I arrived at the function room.

January 15, 2015 was the start of a special long weekend and holiday for most because of the Papal Visit but I am so grateful to my friends in the blogging community in sharing their time for this special occasion.

Some of My Blogger Friends in the Industry

Jing, Bedalyn and the group were the first people I worked with. They were so accommodating and friendly.

It was through blogging that I met fellow blogger and relatives, Jesselyn and Jennifer. They are my mom's cousins. 

Mommy Jo Bonsol was one of the few people who noticed the sweetness between me and Jonel back in January 2012. 

Alwin, on the other hand, has been a very good friend while FPJ has been very supportive of MarJonel ever since. :) I recently found a new friend with Rina and I wanted to get to know her more. :)

It's really a care-free and unlimited laughter whenever I'm with JM, Alex and Jeman. We were together in several lifestyle and travel related events. We're also fellow Habitat Online Champions advocating Habitat For Humanity Philippines.

The Thanksgiving Party would not be complete without sharing the blessings. It's so nice to meet blog readers who support and read my stories. Virgielyn and Joy, two of the six dear blog readers came over to our thanksgiving get-together. 

I celebrated the relaunch and re-branding of my blog from LivingMarjorney now Woman In Digital with these wonderful people! Again, thank you very much for spending an afternoon with me, I will forever cherish!
