How to Prevent Dysmenorrhea & The Benefits of Jeunesse Anion Pad

Some women experiences dysmenorrhea before and during the menstrual period. The symptoms include abdominal cramps, headache and nausea. I could imagine the menstrual discomfort brings every month.

Some ladies have to file a leave of absent or missed school. I'm one of them but I'm grateful I found ways to minimize the symptoms of dysmenorrhea. I used to experience heavy menstrual flow. Now that I'm on my thirties, my period has changed. Still a four-day menstrual period with moderate flow especially on my first day. Regular exercise, proper diet and the sanitary pads I'm currently using help in ease the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.

Here are tips to relieve and prevent Dysmenorrhea

I've been doing this for the longest time and I must say it's really effective in treating and preventing dysmenorrhea.

1. Eat well-balanced meals
Avoid too much fatty food. A low-fat diet decreases level of inflammation in the body and helps ease or prevent abdominal cramps during red days. Eat well-balanced meals, more fruits and vegetables. I found  juicing a great way to consume fresh vegetables and fruits.

2. Tea
I believe in the healing power of tea. Turmeric or yellow ginger has an anti-inflammatory properties and ease abdominal cramps. It has an anti-spasmodic action. Black tea has low caffeine content and is good for circulation.

I recently discovered True Tea. It's made from black tea. But what's more interesting about this product is that they uses stevia, a natural sweeter from the stevia plant that adds flavor to the beverage. Each pack/sachet can make a liter of iced tea. So if you're a fan of iced tea, I suggest that you go for the ones that uses natural flavorings like True Tea.

3. Massage using Essential Oils
The aroma of essential oils calms and soothes my muscle. I massage the essential oil on my abdomen until I fall asleep. There are hundreds of benefits of essential oil. Olive oil not only makes our food flavorful it has a lot of health benefits as well. It helps pass out kidney stones. Essential oil help make skin look younger and beautiful.

4. Exercise

I noticed a decrease or absence of menstrual pain every time I would do exercise a week before my period. Exercise improves blood flow and decrease cramps on only to the abdominal area during red days but even on other parts of the body especially the legs and arms. Exercise also improves our mood and releases hormones. Exercise strengthens pelvic muscle as well.

5. Hot Compress
Applying hot compress when in pain decreases discomfort. Make sure to wrap it with towel to prevent burns and apply heat compress for 15-30 minutes.

6. Vitamins and Minerals
Cramps could be due to lack of vitamins and minerals in our body. Vitamin B complex helps treat muscle cramps and numbness.

7. Sanitary pads with Anion strips

Anion Napkin Review

Jeunesse pad has special anion strip that brings a lot of benefits for overall health.

Jeunesse Anion Pads helps relieve Dysmenorrhea

I've heard a lot of stories from women who tried Juenesse Anion Pads. My friends said that their PMS (Premenstrual syndrome) was relieved with continuous use. Others said Jeuenesse prevents skin irritation and infection during the red days. As for me, I'm glad I don't get skin rashes from Jeunesse pads which I always have from other brands. Jeunesse pads are also soft and comfortable as if I don't wear a pad. It's super thin, you would think it's not absorbent but believe me it is.

I use non-wing ultra thin that's super absorbent during the day. The extra long for extra comfort at night. Jeunesse has ultra thin super absorbent too. One of my favorites is the Jeunesse Anion Panty Liners w/ soft & smooth cottony cover I could use everyday when I go out.  How about you? Have you tried Jeunesse Anion Pads? What can you say about this sanitary napkin with anion?
