Last April 30 and May 1, customers enjoyed a special Weekend Treat from 15 of the most popular shops in Mercato Centrale. There are winners on facebook and twitter as well - a box of 20 pcs assorted truffles from Risa Chocolates, 6 Mochi balls from Mochiko, Choco Chips from Little Miss OC’s Kitchen and a pint of Merry Moo Ice Cream just to mention a few. Not only that, bloggers too joined the Weekend Treats Blog Contest. Here’s what I wrote about the Mercato Centrale Weekend Treats
How happy I am when I was informed that we were selected to receive a prize from one of Mercato’s Certified Favorite Shop.
And our prize… 6 pcs ASSORTED MOCHI BALLS FROM MOCHIKO!
We went to Mercato Centrale last Sunday, May 8 to watch FREE LIVE TELECAST of Pacquiao-Mosley fight and to celebrate Mother’s day, a “MomMe” Day Event. That same day, I got to meet the people behind Mochiko.
Mochi is a Japanese confection made from sticky rice with an ice cream filling. It’s chewy outside and has a creamy delicious ice cream inside, an interesting to try. To enjoy Mochiko, PLEASE wait for at least 2 minutes, you must able to pinch it on top and then you’re ready to devour!
Thanks to Ms. Odette and Mr. Noel of Mochiko!
Here’s our prize, 6 delightful Mochiko Ice Cream Filled Mochis! Three are Asian Flavors (Chocolate, Caramelo and Mango), three Best Sellers (Azuki, Green Tea and Black Sesame). Each has distinguishing taste but all has smooth and creamy texture of ice cream that you’ll surely love. And who says NO to ice cream? No one for sure.
I like the Green Tea, the light sweetness makes it perfect. Azuki or Red Bean and Black Sesame are interesting flavors.
My favorite, the delightful flavor of Black Sesame! It will surely impress…
They also have Strawberry, Coffee, Avocado and Vanilla flavors. Mochi balls are always a refreshing treat! Honestly, they are too yummy that you don’t want to share. :)
What about you? What’s your favorite flavor?
