I was a little girl when I first heard the word “Thermos”, especially every morning were all of us rushed for breakfast. Later did I know that Thermos is a genuine brand and not just ordinary thermal pot. When I started living independently it was then that I learned how to choose things I needed at home. Honestly, I’m not much into buying expensive clothes and shoes instead I love going and shopping on the household section. Initially, I bought those that are cheap but then I realized it compromises the quality and after few months I found myself looking for another brand of the same product. That’s totally a waste of money, effort and time.
I’m a coffee lover and usually consumes 3-4 cups in a day (but trying hard to limit it at least 2 cups a day). It’s very convenient and cost effective having a good thermal pot at home that will maintain the temperature of hot water for at least 6 hours. Last month, I bought a thermal pot, it’s branded but not the same type as the genuine Thermos brand and guess what? The hot water turns luke warm in less than two hours. The merchandiser even told me that the temperature can last for six hours and I was really disappointed. It was so frustrating and I don’t feel like going back to the store to inform them about it. The lesson is never settle for less or better to buy items that has been in the market for years. After two weeks, I decided not to use it anymore so I bought a new coffee maker, instead. I don’t have any regret with the coffee maker but I guess I still need a thermal pot in case others would like to have hot drinks other than coffee.
On July 30 and 31, Thermos Philippines and Rustans held an event with the theme “Celebrating Health”, a two-day event featuring the genuine Thermos brand from cookware to Travel Tumblers like Thermos Travel mugs and Vacuum flasks. Participants got the chance to see Thermos Premium Stainless Cookware such as the Stainless Stir-Fry Wok, Casseroles, Frying Pans, Sauce Pans and Shuttle Chefs.
“Cooking for Health” is an exclusive recipe presentation by Chef Nino Laus of Ninyo Fusion Cuisine.
The first day was about Cooking for Health using Thermos Premium Stainless Cookware. I learned that using branded cookware such as Thermos Casseroles helps seals or locks the nutrients while cooking.
That afternoon, we learned five recipes; Beef Stir Fry, Wasabi Orange Chicken Tempura, Ninyo Style Vongolle, Fusion Paella and Coconut Wasabi Seafood Medley.
It’s great to know that in every recipe we make there’s Thermos cookware we can use, Chef Nino uses Thermos Premium Stainless Casserole with Cover for cooking Fusion Paella and Thermos Premium Stainless Saute Pan for cooking Ninyo Style Vongolle. Thermos cookware has excellent products with consistent quality and reliable performance.
After every recipe presentation, there’s a Q&A portion and audience are encouraged to participate. Luckily I got the chance to answer and won Thermos Stainless Wok. I am very happy bringing home a new wok courtesy of Thermos. All of us bring home a genuine Thermos travel mug too!
The second day celebrated with the theme “Growing Up Healthy” featuring Thermos Foogo and Funtainers with seminar for moms and kids.
Cooking is more fun and exciting using Thermos wok. But aside from Thermos cookware, I think I have to buy the 20oz Rounded Serving Carafe to replace my thermal pot.
Thank you Thermos Philippines for the awesome Thermos Stainless Wok and Travel mug! Thanks to Mr. King Del Rosario, Thermos Phil Brand Manager and Ms. Mhel Ignacio for inviting me in this event.
