Mang Inasal's Mang Aawit Project

Mang Inasal held the First Media and Bloggers’ Night at the T.E.A.T.R.I.N.O. in Promenade, Greenhills. It was an evening full of fun, games, delicious food and overflowing beverages. Indeed a grand celebration as they launched the brand’s main marketing campaign.

Two more reasons to love this Filipino fast food chain - first, the Mang Aawit Project and the Grand Gadget Giveaway. The Grand Gadget Giveaway is a promotion which raffles off Asus Eee Pad Transformers and special I Love Mang Inasal USB Ballers everyday. Second is the announcement of its 400th store opening on August 5 at the Vmall Carpark in Greenhills.

The event started with fun and exciting event such as the Rock Band Challenge, participants held their own concert onstage while playing to the music of Rock Band 2, the Beatles and Guitar Hero. Participants were Bloggers vs Mang Inasalers (employees of Mang Inasal), both received a Mang Inasal USB Baller Band.  

Mr. Gil Abela, General Manager of Mang Inasal talked about the history and programs of Mang Inasal. Lastly, Mr. Chris Cahilig (Program Director of the Mang Aawit Project) introduced the eight artists for the Mang Inasal Mang Aawits, a Music Advocacy Program aims to preserve and uplift the local music scene by providing new and original Filipino songs.

Mang Inasal expresses love for OPM by supporting and providing exposure to a wider audience for eight breakthrough artists. This includes OPM pop heartthrobs 1:43 whose debut recording titled “Time for Love”; multi-awarded RnB and soul artist Arnee Hidalgo who is releasing a comeback album soon; acoustic singer-composer Aries Sales and the group behind songs “Lagi” and “Baliw” pop band Kiss Jane; musical auteur, gold record artist and staunch OPM advocate Myrus; stand-up comedian and radio host Onse of DZBB Teleradyo; pop singer Sheng Belmonte and Stephanie Dan.

That night we witnessed great performances from the eight breakthrough artists (Myrus, Arnee Hidalgo, 1:43, Kiss Jane, Sheng Belmonte, Aries Sales, Stephanie Dan and Stand-up comedian radio host ONSE.)

It was a great night! After a week of too much stress on recent happenings at home plus the pressure of taking an International examinations. I enjoyed listening to great Filipino music and laugh so hard while watching Onse on stage. I’m lucky to be invited in this grand event.
