Magnolia Ice Cream 2011 Tub Wrap Awarding

I came from a family with  an average income so most of our household expenses are listed according to priority. When I was a child, I usually have special request for my birthday, no other but a tub of ice cream  and because it’s  quite expensive aside from the fact that my birthday falls during the rainy season, ice cream was set aside.

When I started to earn, I was able to buy and eat the food I want and ice cream has been one of my favorite. Its creaminess, softness and sweetness never fails me to love it until now that I’m on my thirties.  It  brings back the memories of childhood and it feels like I’m a child each time I hold an ice cream cone. Would you believe I can finish half a gallon in one sitting? but now I also take care of  my diet and would limit too much sweets. Talking about ice cream, one of my favorite is the Magnolia Ice Cream Collection. Though we see a lot of ice cream brands in the market, Magnolia Ice Cream never fails to give us, consumers a delicious and affordable ice cream.

Talking about ice cream, there’s only one that has been in the market that satisfies Filipino taste buds with their wide selection of flavors. Using our country’s tropical fruits like mango other flavors that we love like ube, chocolate, vanilla and a lot more.

Last week, San Miguel Pure Foods celebrated “Kapuso ng bawat Pilipino,” a two-day caravan, held at the Trinoma Activity Center. I was able to dropped by during the first day after attending an event about a newly launched Coffee Machine available in the market.

There’s the Magnolia Chicken station, Magnolia Chocolait, Magnolia Ice Cream Station, Purefoods Corned Beef other participating company like Wi-Tribe (an internet provider) and Petron. They also gave free samples for consumers to try.

Participants got the chance to take home products from San Miguel too after completing the ticket with stamps and included for the raffle. The first day was packed with mall-goers, I didn’t got the chance to have my ticket stamps so I decided to continue it the next day.

The second day was set for the Magnolia Ice Cream Tub Wrap Awarding 2011 and I was there to attend the ceremony. I arrived just on time and saw fellow bloggers and my cousin Jenn.

Magnolia Ice Cream always thrilled us with their limited edition flavors every summer and Christmas season. This year, their newest products is the Classic Medley Ice Cream, a combination of two classic flavors. There are three flavors: Black and White – a combination of chocolate and vanilla; Dare Devil – a combination of strawberry and chocolate and Bumblebee – a combination of caramel and mangoes.

 

Magnolia Ice Cream Tub Wrap Contest 2011

The Magnolia Ice Cream Tub Wrap Contest started last December 2008 with participants from different public and private schools in Metro Manila. Winning entries are featured in the tub of Magnolia Ice Cream Christmas’ Limited Edition flavor.

This year’s theme is “All I Want for Christmas” there were 16 schools participate with a total of 66 entries. The winning design will be featured in the 2011 Christmas Limited Edition Flavor to be launched on October 25.

Present at the ceremony are students who joined the contest with their professors. The event was hosted by the talented and humorous Nicole Hyala, a DJ at Love Radio 90.7. We heard a short introduction about the history of Magnolia Ice Cream and how it became a big hit in every Filipino.

Two (2) students from Bulacan State University and one (1) from STI Sta Maria, Bulacan won this year’s Magnolia Tub Wrap Contest.

Third Place Winner is Joanna Marie Dionisio from Bulacan State University. She won P10,000 cash.


2nd Place Winner Myronne Ramirez from STI College Sta Maria and won P15,000.


Marvin Quizon received P20,000. His entry talks about family – members of the family separated for a while but being together every Christmas eve. Marvin’s creation will be the Magnolia Ice Cream Tub Wrap Limited Edition Triple Chocolate Treat and will be available in the market starting October 25. We will definitely have it on our table on Christmas eve.
