Starting March 6, 2012 Starbucks will introduce four new food items that customers can enjoy with Starbucks Blonde Roast Coffees – Almond Pain Au Chocolat, Chocolate Chip Caramel Cake, Chicken Cordon Bleu Wrap and Italiano Combo Focaccia Bread.
Almond Pain Au Chocolat – An all butter croissant filled with sweet almond paste, luscious dark chocolate and sprinkled with flaked almond and sugar icing.
Chocolate Caramel Chip Cake – a moist, light chocolate sponge cake layered with velvety, light chocolate butter cream with riot of caramel chips, crunchy meringue and finished with elegant dark chocolate icing.
Chicken Cordon Bleu Wrap – a warm tortilla stuffed with moist and juicy chicken breast fillet filled with sliced ham and cheddar cheese.
Italiano Combo on Focaccia Bread – Roast beef, smoked turkey, smoked ham, beef salami, turkey lyoner, honey ham, mozzarella, provolone cheese, jalapeno, and Starbucks’s signature pesto dressing on focaccia bread.
We will again enjoy a savory treat with the return of Spanish Sardines and Feta Turnover (available for a limited time only)
Spanish Sardines and Feta Turnover – butter, light and flaky pastry turnover filled with authentic gourmet Spanish Sardines sautéed in garlic, onions, dill with a dash of chili flakes to give it a kick.
Yesterday I was at Starbucks High Street and wanted to have Chocolate Caramel Chip Cake or Spanish Sardines and Feta Turnover but I realized the new food items will be available the following day so I just had a tall cup of Java Chip Frappuccino. Still craving for the turnover, I look for a local bakery and bought some tuna turnover.
On my next trip to Manila, I will make sure to drop by the nearest store and bring home a slice of luscious Chocolate Caramel Chip Cake and savory Spanish Sardines and Feta Turnover. How about you?
