Back2Back Concert at the Mall of Asia ARENA: Taylor Dayne & Edwin McCain

 

Fresh from Nurture Spa, Tagaytay I went home to leave my things, took a shower and immediately left the house to watch the back to back ultimate concert of Taylor Dayne and Edwin McCain held in SM Mall of Asia Arena last June 1.

 

I arrived at the Mall of Asia ARENA around 8pm and had a short trip at Starbucks for a dose of caffeine and warm sandwich. It’s located at the Arena’s ground floor.

I got a nice seat at the Lower Box 216 Green.

It was my second time in the Arena. We had a tour few days ago after the Press Conference for the upcoming concert and grand launching of the Mall of Asia ARENA entitled Icons at the Arena happening on June 16. 

Edwin McCain performed a couple of songs including his 1998 popular song “I’ll be”.

His voice is so powerful. The crowd became excited when he went down the stage.

Here’s a video I took, McCain singing “I’ll Be”. I apologize if it will make you a little dizzy, I have to use another camera since mine has empty battery after the event in Tagaytay.

Philippine Prince of RnB Jay-R was the guest artist and sung several Tagalog songs including his greatest hit “Bakit Pa Ba” and “Kung Mahal Mo Siya”.  

I love the Prince of RnB, I would listen to his songs and enjoyed watching him perform in a variety show.

Taylor Dayne sung her greatest hits “Tell It To My Heart”, “Can’t Get Enough” and her final song “Love Will Lead You Back”.

The power of her voice has never changed.

I just noticed a long idle time after Jay-R’s performance and just before Dayne’s turn.

The Mall of Asia ARENA is something we should be proud of. The lights are great; the sound system still needs some improvement though. The air-condition is good but I didn’t wear my coat or jacket.

During the concert I saw familiar faces. My blogger friend Ferdie who invited me to watch the concert, approached me and his colleague Henry waiting at the Coral Way entrance. 

The concert was successful, they both performed well. I enjoyed the night and looking forward to see more performances in the Mall of Asia ARENA.
