Potatoes - a vegetable crop that is always present in my kitchen. I love potatoes, it's one of my comfort food! I usually modify a recipe or create my own with potatoes. Potatoes are so versatile, not to mention its pack with important nutrients such as Potassium, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6.
Netherland’s favorite snack Kroketten now in the Philippines
My siblings and I used to make French fries when we were little. Today, I make simple dishes with potatoes. They can be mashed, served as a side dish, added to your dish because they go well with pork, beef and chicken. But what else do we need to know about this scrumptious vegetable?
It's interesting to know new innovations from potatoes. Few weeks ago I was invited to try a healthy snack made of potatoes. The name is KROKETTEN, the idea of entrepreneur Maribel Bosch. A croquette is a small size fried rolls made with potatoes and other ingredients.
In the Philippines, we consider snacks to be an important food of the day. That is why, Maribel introduced a unique variety on potato that is surely appealing, extra healthy, delicious and affordable - Kroketten, Netherland's favorite snack as the Dutch word means "a little round ball".

Kroketten is available in three varieties: Original Kroket is the original oblong shape with ground beef, chicken and cheese. Kroketballen is the most favorite and has three pieces of crunchy potato balls which come with dips. The Miniballen is a bite sized potato balls considered best for sharing.
Available dip flavors are garlic mayo, honey mustard, pesto mayo, tartar, orange mayo, hoisin mayo, spiced tomato and wasabi mayo.
Kroketten kiosk at SM North EDSA Food Court
About two weeks ago, a mall in Quezon City had their three day sale. We went to buy a pair of shoes and few items for the house.
It was past lunch time and we haven't had lunch. As expected, the restaurants are full including fast food and coffee shops.
We passed by Kroketten kiosk at the SM North EDSA Food Court and bought everything in their food warmer cabinet.
I had different flavors, check out what I got!
I had Miniballen’s assorted flavors - tuyo (salted and dried fish), mango, adobo, hotdog, cheese and bacon. And my favorite, the Kroketten chicken flavor!
You can order a combo meal too! There’s 5 pieces miniballen (P20) and 4 pieces miniballen that comes with 6.4oz revitalize 10 or Nutri 10 fresh fruit drink (P35)
4pcs Miniballen with 6oz revitalize
By the way, Kroketten is a guiltless snack because they only use corn oil instead of the ordinary cooking oil.
The company is also open for franchise, for inquiries you may call (632) 822-5711 or 09178596623.
There are thirteen branches including SM Mall of Asia (Transport Terminal), SM North EDSA Food Court area, Festival Mall Alabang, Alabang Town Center, Market! Market!, GT Tower Makati, Starmall EDSA Shaw Boulevard, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East, SM Lipa Batangas and soon at SM Megamall.
I will surely comeback to try the Original Kroket and their delicious Nutri 10 fresh fruit drink!
