I've been to SumoSam a couple of times. With their affordable and large serving dishes, it became one of our favorite casual dining Japanese restaurants. Just before we left for Malaysia, we indulge into Japanese cuisine at SumoSam Megamall.
Perhaps, by this time you might have tried their latest food offering from scrumptious tonkatsu, delightful pizzas to flavorful cold sobas and new line of desserts.
First, we got the deep-fried to perfection Tonkatsu Kurobuta. They say “Kurobuta” pork is the most highly prized pork in Japan and comes form the ancient breed of pig known as Black Berkshire. No wonder why Tonkatsu Kurobuta is so flavorful.
Served in a silver rack, Tonkatsu Kurobuta is tender and juicy, delightful in every bite. It is served with special sauce and Japanese coleslaw. Tonkatsu Kurobuta is not flaky and oily. It was cooked just right to achieve its golden-brown appearance.
SumoSam Tonkatsu Kurobuta offers great value for money. For only P499, you’ll get Gohan and tofu miso soup, tonkatsu sauce, sesame dressing and black and white sesame seeds.
We love pizza and I’m glad SumoSam now offers three flavorful pizza loaded with toppings. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try their pizzas but according to some of my friends it really taste good so I should try it very soon!
SumoSam’s delectable pizza are available in three flavors; Chicken Teriyaki and Mango, Shrimp Enoki and Kani & Cheese.
I would probably try Shrimp Enoki on my next visit. I bet boyfriend will love the Chicken Teriyaki & Mango.
Next on their new set of food items are unique and one-of-a-kind Cold Soba. It comes in four flavors: Ten Zaru Cha Soba, Kani Soba Salad, Zaru Cha Soba (Green) and Zaru Soba (Brown)
A meal is not complete without dessert! SumoSam launched their new line of desserts featuring the Meringue with Avocado and Mango Coulis, the Ice Cream Trio (Avocado, Strawberry and Wasabi), Mochi Ice Cream and the Chocolate Ganache Cake (with chocolate dipped oranges and wasabi ice cream).
Do you know who’s the man behind SumoSam? Actor, entrepreneur Marvin Agustin was recently awarded as the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year”. He owns and manages SumoSam. As of this writing, SumoSam has 18 stores all over the country.
At SumoSam, price may not be cheap but I believe the quality of the food and serving is well-worth the price. Check it for yourself, try SumoSam’s latest food offering.
