Honeymoon Staycation at Sofitel Club Millésime

This lovely photo was taken during my first visit at Sofitel Manila in December of 2012, my cousin's wedding. Two months later, we're back in this luxury hotel in Manila not to attend another wedding but to celebrate our new life as Mr. & Mrs. Uy.  After the wedding ceremony at Oasis Manila, we spent our first night at Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

We had a hard time choosing photo for our wedding invite which we wanted to be placed in a pretty glass photo frames. It's gonna be a pre-invite souvenir and a wedding invitation in one. I wanted our cover photo elegant and formal. This one was the most recent and we thought it would be the perfect one.

We were delighted with a good news from Ms. Grace and Ms. Jane Santiago about the upgrade in our accommodation from deluxe room to Club Sofitel. Upgrade! Meaning a more luxurious hotel room. 


It also surprised me to be their “guest of the day”. From the lobby, The staff welcomed me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Then they assisted us with our check-in at Sofitel’s Club Millésime’s exclusive concierge located at the 10th floor.

First class service and a lot of perks greeted us at Club Millésime.  An exclusive club lounge is located at the 10th floor open from 6am to 10pm.

A plate of pate and figs, dried fruits, signature pralines, sparkling water, Evian bottled water neatly placed on the table. There was also a complimentary bottle of red wine.

Just before sunset at Sofitel, a friendly staff came over holding a bottle of Mango Rum, a plate of dessert samplers and mouthwatering cheesecake.

My husband went to the bathroom and showed me the "see through glass shower area". It was spotless clean, spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and see through glass shower area. I just love it!

As a Club Millésime guest, we were entitled to use DVDs, CDs, books and newspapers. Complimentary pressing of one suit or dress upon arrival and 20% discount on laundry. Complimentary shoe shine service daily. Complimentary local land-line calls and a free daily international newspaper.

We love to hang out at Club Millesime's impressive lounge having tasty sandwiches and fresh juices. For busy individuals, they can use the lounge's desktop computers, LCD televisions, elegant sofa and chairs and a conference room.

We're also entitled to use the conference room for 8 persons for 2 hours per stay. Even if we’re off for a short vacation, we wanted to stay connected with our families and engage in social networking sites. From time to time, we use hotel's complimentary 24-hour internet access in the room and at the Lounge. We spent most of the time cuddling each other so we were not able to visit the gym/wellness called So Fit, but it’s also part of the privileges as a Club Millésime guest.

One more thing I enjoyed during the entire stay was the “all day refreshment”. It’s open from 10am to 10pm. We had delicious pastries, savory mini sandwiches and fruit juices. We love hanging out and dine al fresco while having a glass of refreshing fresh mango juice.

By the way, did I mentioned A la Carte Breakfast and afternoon snacks. And at 5pm, we joined the cocktails and scheduled wine tasting. All these are part of the awesome privileges as a Sofitel's Club Millésime guest.

As newly-wed couple enjoyed Sofitel’s lagoon pool. Just before going to bed, we went at Le Spa, Sofitel's premier spa and tried their heated Jacuzzi and Sauna.

The next day, we had a feast at hotel’s first class and most fashionable restaurant, SPIRAL.

As much as we wanted to stay longer, we have to go home and prepare for our Hong Kong trip the next morning. It might be short but definitely sweet, romantic and memorable experience for a newly wed. We hope to see you again, SOFITEL Manila!
