Taste the Love is not a promotional offer for the month of February or the upcoming Valentine’s Day, not even a set of meals which we often see in many restaurants.

With a series of milestone, the campaign also serves as a celebration. From the opening of 50 restaurants spread across 12 concepts, the appointment of Corporate Chef Josh Boutwood and the launch of its Premiere Card. Modern Shanghai is one of the four freshest name in the group which brings authentic recipes in a homey environment. Village Tavern, Watami, and Ma Maison, completes the group having come from the US and Japan ( for the latter two).

We dine at some of their restaurants and I am always happy with their warm and friendly service and tasty dishes. The recent was Watami in SM Mall of Asia, Bulgogi Brothers as well and Village Tavern where they launched Taste of Love campaign. Check out some of their best-sellers..
Village Tavern’s Black Pizza, squid ink pizza dough generous in parmesan, gruyere, mozzarella, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers.
For appetizer we had Sesame Teriyaki Crispy Chicken Wings (Watami), Homemade Jalapenos Poppers of breaded cream cheese and bacon-stuffed jalapeno. I love the Chorizo & Goat Cheese Rolls, these are crisp rolls stuffed with Spanish chorizo and goat cheese, served with chipotle sauce.
Small in size but big in flavor – the BBQ Pork Sliders by Village Tavern.
For sweet endings, a Double Decker Cheesecake with layers of chocolate and traditional cheesecake served with raspberry and chocolate sauce (left). St. Barths Chocolate Torte, rich and moist French cake topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
