Since I'm petite and have been wanting to gain weight, I'm not much particular with what I eat. I eat as long as I want until I got married to a health-conscious, vegetable lover person. He's not a vegetarian though we always served nothing but vegetables for dinner. He also loves meat (pork and beef) while I prefer chicken and fish over pork. So I buy variety of food, beef, pork, fish and chicken. When it comes to chicken, I choose Magnolia. For the record, I've been using Magnolia chicken for the past 4 years now. Don't get me wrong, I might be brand-conscious specially when I have proved to myself it's better than other brands even if it's a bit expensive. I used to try other brands but I found out Magnolia chicken's meat more tender and juicy. Okay, let me tell you brands I can't easily give - Lee Kum Kee, Nescafe, Gardenia plain loaf bread. For non-food items - feminine wash such as Lactacyd and Carefree panty liners.

I buy local vegetables, garlic, onion, tomatoes, kangkong, pechay, repolyo, carrots, string beans etc. We avoid processed food - no red hotdogs, seldom on canned foods (about once a month though) even if I love corned beef, sardines and luncheon meat. At times, I go for organic produce. For the chicken sometimes I buy the free-range chicken. Then I learned about Magnolia Chicken Station LITE which I was invited to the launch two days ago.
Magnolia Chicken Station Lite (MCS LITE) is a healthier line of fresh chicken products. Products come from leaner and “healthier” chicken parts or products. The current MCS Lite product line-up includes the high protein, less fat Magnolia Free Range Chicken, as well as lean, skinless breast cuts like breast fillet, chicken strips, chicken chunks, and lean ground chicken! The brand is also set to introduce a healthy cook-easy line, lean cuts lightly marinated in natural herb and fruit-based flavors that can be used for salads, pastas, and sandwiches.
The launch was held at SM Southmall's entertainment center hosted by actress Ms. Angel Aquino. The public learned from Magnolia Chicken's welness seminars, had a free nutrition counsultation, healthy cooking demonstration and fun games & exciting activities.
Ms. Llena Tan-Arcenas RND. MSN, RN, In-House Nutiritionist, San Miguel Pure Foods had a talk on "Embracing Good Nutrition" and "Practice Food Safety".
If you want to know more about the new Magnolia Chicken Station Lite visit SM Mall of Asia this coming Friday, July 12, 2013 booth starts at 10am.
Magnolia Chicken Station Lite is exclusively available in major SM Supermarkets, SM Savemore, and SM Hypermarket outlets nationwide.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts in HEALTH wellness and staying healthy with the food intake. God Bless!

ReplyDeleteI've been doing the grocery for the family since turned HS. My mom taught me that I should only get Magnolia when it comes to chicken and that became a practice to me now. I also try Bounty Fresh and other brands but I always go back to Magnolia :) Who's the singer of the event by the way?
