Our First Running Event: Robinsons Fit and Run

It was our first time to attend a running event. For many reasons, we always decline such activities. First, we're not early morning person. It's just hard to wake up so early. Second, I don't think we're physically fit so afraid of body aches and fainting during the event.

Although I did not really run because it's only three months since the surgery, I went to support my hubby Jonel. It was his first time to join a running event too and finished 5k on first try! Good job!

Our First Running Event: Robinsons Fit and Run

Robinson's 7th Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run happened at BGC about two weeks ago. It was our first time to cover and attend such event.

5K and 10K run events were attended by around 4,500 recreational runners, including the members of the national rugby team, the Philippine Volcanoes, and other celebrities.

I was the official photographer that morning, lol! Above photo with Ruel, Richard, husband Jonel and Marco. This fun run was part of Robinsons supermarket’s I Love Wellness campaign, which aims to promote the benefits of staying in shape, requires participants to finish the race with a partner.

The stage was also set for dance work out. This time, I joined the stretching and dancing, it was fun!

Special awards and gift packs were also given by event sponsors Nestle and Unilever to outstanding race buddies. We're all happy, all participants also took home a Robinsons Supermarket I Love Wellness bag filled with goodies from sponsors. At the end of the run, top pair finishers received prizes from Robinsons Supermarket officials.

Overall, it was a great Sunday morning joining a running event for the first time. I'm looking forward to experience another fun run event. How about you?
