There were new dishes on their menu when we visited few weeks ago. Before that, let's start with our favorite warm tostada and skillet queso.
I always wanted tostada until one day I found Homestyle fries tasty! I have this attitude that whenever I found my comfort/favorite food, I would not want to try other dishes. Do you also feel the same?
So, starting today these two are my favorites!
Moving on to new food items. We started with Fried Quesadilla Bites. Crispy flour tortillas, oozing melted cheese and Southwest chicken filling on each bite. Battered and fried to perfection then sprinkled with chopped cilantro and served with chipotle sour cream. P375
Bacon and Cheddar Steak
Southwest seasoned steak topped with bacon and melted cheddar cheese. Served with choice of two sides, I had mashed potatoes and broccoli spears.
Your choice of chicken breast or Tilapia fillet crusted with Parmesan and Monterey Jack cheese. Drizzled with chile butter and sprinkled with green onions. Served with two sides. Chicken was good but surprisingly the Tilapia was the best hence it's a little pricey but it's worth your money.
Chicken P395 / Tilapia P425
Pick your side dishes from homestyle fries, corn on the cob, Chili's cilantro rice, fresh veggies, steamed white rice, mashed potatoes and broccoli spears.
On our second visit, which was after my birthday we dine at Chili's Tomas Morato. Hubby found a new offering P999 food for 3! Although we don't eat that much at night, we decided to give it a try. For P999, you choose:
Step 1: Select one (1) appetizer
Step 2: Select Two Full-Size Entrees from:
Bacon Burger, Chicken Crispers, Classic Chicken Fajitas, Country-Style Pork Belly, Cilantro Pesto Shrimp, Chicken Club Tacos, Chipotle Pesto Chicken, Blackened Fish Fillet, Smoked Turkey Sandwich and Monterey Chicken
My only request then was a basket of warm tostado chips and skillet queso again. I let him choose the main entrees. I thought he would go for Country-Style Pork Belly or Bacon Burger or Smoked Turkey Sandwich, he seldom to orders fish. Jonel doesn't like pesto but guess what we had? Main entrees were Blackened Fish Fillet and Cilantro Pesto Shrimp, all are my favorites!
Blackened Fish Fillet with rice and red beans. This is totally different with the Parmesan Tilapia. The latter was a little spicy because it's topped with pepper. It also comes with savory red beans.
Creamy Cilantro Pesto Shrimp
For sweet endings, we had decadent Banana Bread Pudding topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, chopped nuts and drizzled with caramel sauce.
A refreshing Sparkling soda and Presidente Margarita to welcome another year and life journey!
More life happens here! It was another memorable evening with my one and only celebrating my _th birthday. I hope you will try Chili's latest offerings especially the Parmesan Chicken and Tilapia, Bacon & Cheddar Steak and the dessert.
