SM Hypermarket’s Best Pinoy Street Food 2014
We love street food, my personal favorites are camote-que, fishball with cold samalamig. So, everyone was excited when SM Hypermarket launched the search for Best Pinoy Street Food. From hundreds of hopefuls who joined the elimination rounds in different SM Hypermarket stores, 30 best street food cooks were chosen by a panel of judges composed of food experts to compete for their very own SM Hypermarket food business.Familiar faces! |
During the semi-finals round, Chef Boy Logro demonstrated food styling and carving and cooking demonstration. The contests were surprised that the challenge was to create the same dish Chef Boy demostrated earlier.
From 30 street food cooks there were only 20 left and SM Hypermarket‘s Best Pinoy Street Food begins its next phase. The 20 finalists was visited in their own food businesses and judged by chefs and and mystery special guests a couple of days ago. One of the mystery guest judges was my husband who blogs at NomNomClub.com. From there, the 20 will become 10, and eventually “the one” who wins it all in the country’s first epic street food battle.
