The Birth of "Woman In Digital"

Since the birth of this blog, I never tried changing its template. Sometime, I would change the photo header, its background color and the fonts but there was never a total makeover on my blog until last January 15, 2015.

Imagine my excitement when husband told me he will change the blog template.
Aside from a new template, there will be a formal relaunch, a simple thanksgiving with the readers. I've been requesting him to fix the website. But because he's so busy (which I understand) it took us almost two years for its completion. November last year, he brought up the topic about blog relaunch and promised me that it's going to be on January 2015. A perfect timing since LivingMarjorney.com will be celebrating its 5th year anniversary this year. We're all looking forward to another year, new beginning so we choose the date 01-15-15.

The new LivingMarjorney is now, Woman In Digital. "Woman" simply because I'm a woman not a young girl anymore. Five or ten years from now, if God permits me to blog, then the title "Woman In Digital" is just age-appropriate.

I'm a woman who stays online (as much as I can). My last job was NCLEX online coach. I sent review materials online, assisted, review and recommended nurses (here and abroad) to sit for the NCLEX. These nurses are base in the country, some in different parts of the world.

I was reading mails right after our wonderful New Year vacation in Macau. There's a message that made my heart beat faster than normal - my husband started organizing the blog relaunch! I was so excited, I went to hug him and thank him for the time and effort.

Finally, the new look of LivingMarjorney. Few days before the launch, he asked me about my favorite blogs. We checked them out and discussed. Just like on choosing the perfect wedding gown, you really need a wedding couturier. A mermaid cut wedding gown is perfect for petite woman like me. The same goes to choosing the right template. We come up with one that's simple and minimalist.

I wanted simple layout with readable fonts and titles highlighted. I wanted a white background just like before. My blog's FB Page, Twitter or Instagram, side by side on the footer of the blog. Of course, there should be categories. We simplified and come up with eight categories (8) - Home, About WID, Home Ideas, Shop, Leisure (Travel & Restaurants), Wellness (Advocacy, Beauty and Healthy), Quick Links and Contact US. The front page is a magazine-type layout.

Woman In Digital was formally launched last January 15. I'm so grateful to those who came and spent their time with us in this memorable occasion. Thank you to those who sent their greetings and complements via SMS, FB messages and emails. Of course, Woman In Digital would not be possible without the help and effort of my dear husband, Jonel Uy.
