During my free time, I would read on my favorite websites about interior design on the latest trends in home improvement.
Add to that my love for shopping; anything home-related from Chinaware to curtains, and rugs (yes, I have a lot). My husband even suggested I should open a rugs/mat business, lol. :)
Design Treands & Innovation @ SM Megamall
According to my recent reads, the interior design trends in 2016 are focused on neutral colors and those that complement with other hues.
It's okay to have two colors in a living room. You can mix/match one to two interesting colors - neutral and bright hues.
And guess what, I found both these design aspects in my recent visit along the furniture lane at the 4th floor of SM Megmall. In particular, I passed by a furniture store called Innovation at Design Pod. The store primarily showcases the latest sofa beds from Denmark; there were some dining tables, and accent chairs as well.

Sofabed Flashback
About a year ago, we requested a design layout mock-up from Innovation with the Dublexo Sofabed in Olive Begum color. The sofa was pretty and gave an instant new look to our living room.
Aside from the design, the quality and durability of furniture is just as important for me. Innovation sofabeds has a remarkable steel base which tells me it can last a pretty long time. :)

Trendy living room sofabeds are usually minimalist in design. Try to get one that will not occupy too much space but still function well for a comfortable living space in your home.
If you find it too plain, give it life by adding throw pillows with bold colors or floral designs. YOu can also apply the same concept on your living room curtains. Just make sure it matches the hues of your furniture and wall color / wallpaper.
