Sta Cruz Laguna is the capital town of Laguna province. It was through a friend that I thought of spending a night at Ted's Laguna. We left Manila past ten in the morning and arrived in Sta. Cruz around two in the afternoon. Since we're all starving, we decided to visit first, Aurora Filipino Cuisine. I love Filipino dishes and our quick stop did not disappoint. I hope to be back really soon. Full review of Aurora Filipino Cuisine here.
Good Morning from Sta Cruz Laguna
You would easily find Ted's, it's located along the main road. A huge orange banner "Ted's Kitchenette" will greet you.
The place is not that big, in fact there were only seven (7) rooms. There's a room with two single beds for best friends. They also have a couples room. Ted's B&B also can hold special occasions like wedding and birthdays at Ted's Warehouse that can accommodate up to 200 guests.
I shared a room with my friend Aylin. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortably furnished, well-decorated with sliding glass door covered with lovely curtains in neutral colors. We have the option to slightly open the curtains to enjoy the outside view if we want to watch the fireplace or the sky and the moon.

In front of the hotel is the restaurant named, Ted's Kitchenette. It serves breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. They are open until 10pm.
What to do in Sta. Cruz Laguna
Aylin and I enjoyed our grand time together relaxing watching movies in our cozy room. I usually traveled with the husband but I am grateful spending some quality time, catching-up with girlfriends. It was also my me-time (read my me-time series) which I regularly do whether in a spa, coffee shop with my mom and sister or simply dining out with old friends.
We took advantage of the beautiful spot, taking photos after photos, posing here and there. There's a supermarket about ten minutes walk from the hotel. While Joy was in the supermarket, Aylin and I scored some nice clothes from a thrift shop. There were pretty nice dresses at P75 ($1.49) blouses at P55 ($1.10). We were like happy kids because we got two-four dresses without spending thousands of pesos. I think I'm liking ukay-ukay in the city from now on. Not only that I got to saved on pre-loved items but most importantly I was able to save mother Earth.
Since it was almost dinner, we head back to Ted's and prepare ourselves for another delightful meal. Before dinner, I enjoyed a long warm bath in our nice bathroom statement decor painted on the wall. The toilet and bath is spacious complete with toiletries. There's hot and cold water in the shower.
Dinner at Ted's Kitchenette
We had dinner at Ted's kitchenette. We started with healthy smoothies (starts at P85 or $1.69). I had a refreshingly good turmeric and grapes. My friends had mango and peach, apple and basil. We had three kinds of pasta dishes - pesto, creamy pasta and seafood. Pasta were all excellent but my favorite was the malunggay pasta (less than P200 or $3.99). I really like that it doesn't have that leafy taste. I couldn't find the best words to describe this malunggay pasta, but it's one of the best pasta I've ever had. I'm so happy that I got Chef Day's Malunggay recipe book, I was told the recipe was included.
Buffalo wings (P165) has mild spiciness. Pizza was definitely good, very light yet flavorful. I love the choice of vegetables and herbs.
I'm not a fan of burgers but I had so much of their Ted's Angus burger (P295 or $5.85). Topped with sunny-side up egg, some lettuce and tomatoes. The meat was so tender and juicy. Capping our happy dinner are three best-selling cakes at Ted's - brazo de fernando, sansrival cake and cheesecake.

Look for a place where you can restore strength, feed your body and soul. When you stay, don't forget to try their hot tsokolate-eh before you sleep. It was one of the best me-time I've ever had. I would definitely come back, next time with my one and only. 💕
