Last year, we bought a Uratex Senso Memory Foam at Uratex shop in Miller Ave. It was one of the biggest purchases we had early last year. I searched for wooden bed frame and luckily met an expat couple who are leaving the country for work assignment. We visited their home in Dasmarinas village. The moment I saw the bed, I knew I love it. I was so happy that I also got the wife's dresser with huge mirror at a very good package.
I'm not familiar with types of wood but I'd like to learn more about it. I know if it's a Malaysian wood, molave or narra so I will surely attend the upcoming Philippines International Furniture Show (known to some simply as PIFS) on March 8-10.
PIFS is one of Southeast Asia’s premier trade fairs, offering an extensive range of furniture products, accessories, and décor. It is jointly organized by the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation Inc. (CFIF), the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), and the Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation (PFIF) and will be held on March 8 to 10 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex.
Last week, they invited bloggers and influencers to announce the upcoming event. We met local and foreign furniture makers and suppliers during the intimate event held at Ronac Lifestyle Center, which is also the Uratex Showroom.
“We see PIFS as the ultimate collaboration of Filipino Collection. It is where we show the world the ingenuity of our local manufacturers and designers, how we interpret the latest industry trends, and in many cases, take the lead in design innovation,” said Eduardo Zuluaga, overall event chairman of PIFS and President of Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines. The Keeping true to its form as the “Milan of Asia”, the Philippines has a strong reputation for originality and new, often ground breaking, interpretation. That’s why PIFS continues to attract of buyers who want to see first-hand what Filipino design and craftsmanship has to offer. They come from countries as far as the United States of America, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, China, Australia, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, and India.

PIFS will also feature the most respected hardwood artists and furniture designer in the country, Osmundo Esguerra. His crafts reflect his natural creativity and ingenuity, celebrating the true Filipino craftsmanship. There will be a special tribute showcasing a number of pieces by Esguerra.

I'm excited to see the pieces that PIFS will showcase. Who knows I might find the accent chair I've been looking for. Spread the word and hope to see you at the Philippines International Furniture Show.
