BAKE Cheese Tart Opens in Manila

Cheese adds flavor to food making it more richer and creamier. A simple dish added with cheese becomes extra special, isn't it?

Where to Get Japanese Cheese Tart in Manila

One of the first blog posts I've written seven years ago was about cheesecake. That moment, I was contemplating over the life I've been hoping for in the US. It's been years of waiting for that embassy interview but something happened "again" with my documents causing prolong delays. However, that yummy cheesecake with brewed coffee made my day better since then I became a fan of cheesecake. From cheesecake I discovered these cute and yummy pastries called cheese tarts when I visited Hong Kong and Singapore.

Recently, my husband came home holding a bag of freshly BAKE Cheese Tart from the newly opened BAKE in Podium mall.

BAKE Cheese Tart started 30 years ago in an old Japanese bakery in Kinotoya, Japan. What makes Kinotoya Cheese Tarts recipe extra special is baked with four types of cheese - three from Hokkaido and one from France. It is then cupped in a double baked crust and baked until it turns a delicate golden brown.

Served freshly baked from the crust that has crunchy sides, the cheese that melts in your mouth. Bake Cheese Tart can even be enjoyed four ways: freshly baked, chilled, frozen and warm.

I tried it the next day, frozen and still taste really good. I also had one warm in the oven paired with roasted barley coffee I bought from Healthy Options.

BAKE Cheese Tart opened its first store in Shinjyuku, Tokyo in 2014 and following its success; they opened stores in Hongkong, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore, and now, the Philippines.
