I've been itching to write about our Canyon Woods Residences and Canyon Cove Day tour. Finally, I'm sharing our amazing family getaway in Tagaytay and Batangas.
Family Outing in Tagaytay |
We left Quezon City early morning around 8am and arrived in Tagaytay just in time for lunch. On the way to Nasugbu, we decided to passed by Tagaytay for lunch. I was torn between Balay Dako and RSM Lutong Bahay. RSM is much more affordable compared to Balay Dako.

Tagaytay remains beautiful, and the weather is cool. It was April 2017 when we visited Tagaytay.
Where to Stay in Tagaytay and Batangas: Canyon Woods Residences
After lunch, the road trip continues and we reached Canyon Woods Residences. We took the Laurel, Batangas road, medyo zigzag so I suggest you take this road during the day. The streets inside the Canyon Woods is quite steep, drive safely. We got a room at the 2nd floor overlooking the swimming pool and the pine trees. The weather in Tagaytay is perfectly fine.
Canyon Woods Tagaytay Swimming Pool |
Canyon Woods Residences is a huge and private property. A reservation or email confirmation is required upon entering the gates. With two swimming pools, this one and the other one is an indoor pool located in the club.
Room rates costs P2,500 depending on the season. Our room has twin beds, cable television, coffee and tea facility, working desk, complete with toiletries, slippers and clean towels. Since we are five adults with one child, I asked for an extra bed. If I'm not mistaken, we paid Php700 for the extra bed. I shared the bed with my sister Charlene while Litel and uncle shared the other bed. Mom and my nephew slept in the extra bed. It is necessary to inform them how many guests you are coming especially if beyond the room capacity.

We did not found any nearby stores so better bring snacks for your convenience. I remember, we bought a box of J.Co doughnut. Well, I always have my #BloggerBaon with me because I would easily get hungry and it's bad for my tummy.
We ordered pancit and pork sinigang for dinner at the restaurant inside Canyon Woods. I appreciate that they even provided paper plates and spoons. We decided to take it out and eat in our room instead of dining in their huge restaurant. However, I suggest having breakfast here and enjoy the view.
Everyone was excited when they found out we were going to Canyon Cove Resort, a sister company of Canyon Woods. It's a nice and expansive property with hotel, huge swimming pools, and the beach. So we decided to leave Canyon Woods in the morning, travel time about an hour and a half.
We had breakfast in a carinderia on the way to Canyon Cove. I know that Batangas is known for their lomi with lots of toppings and -silog for breakfast.

Batangas Lomi with lots a toppings! |
Although we traveled about an hour and a half to reach Canyon Cove but it was all worth the trip. I love this place and I would recommend it.
Canyon Cove Batangas
Welcome to Canyon Cove! Unlike Canyon Woods, Canyon Cove was busy with huge number of guests. The Day Tour at Canyon Cove was good and sulit, I mean we enjoyed our time in the pool and the beach even for a day.
From the lobby, we were ushered to the Canyon Cove Day Tour Center where the lockers and changing rooms are provided. They gave us a wrist band that serves us a passes to the facilities.

Travel Tips Going to Tagaytay and Batangas to Canyon Woods and Canyon Cove Beach
1. We took the Tagaytay-Nasugbu road because we wanted to have lunch along Tagaytay, otherwise it's better to take the Talisay-Laurel road.
2. We were not able to visit Bag of Beans Twin Lakes because there was a road construction going there. I was hoping we could drop by for breakfast.
3. It's better to download the map going to Canyon Cove to avoid being lost.
4. If you're coming from the North (Quezon City, Caloocan etc), better to leave early morning because Canyon Woods and Canyon Cove are located at the end part of Tagaytay. Please refer to the map I posted here.
5. Bring food and snacks. There are few stores and shops if you take the Tagaytay-Laurel road.
6. Bring sunscreen, hat, and pashmina during summer time.
7. Bring towels and soap as well.
Room rates at Canyon Woods starts at Php3,500 depending on the season.
On our way to Canyon Cove Resort, we passed by a small carinderia for bruch. Knowing Batangas is known for its lomi, each of us ordered a bowl of Batangas Lomi and silog. Everyone was happy and full.
