I've been wanting to write a short blog to show how grateful I am to those who remembered my birthday. I would also like to share our awesome trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It was one of the longest yet relaxing out of town trips we've ever had, no itineraries, no tours, just purely relaxation. We did the island tour during our first and second visits a few years back so we thought of making this trip light and easy to celebrate my birthday.
I have a lot of travel stories to share. Let me start with the hotel I found on a mobile app, Traveloka. I was having second thoughts if I should book at Ala Amid in Puerto Princesa. Most of the reviews says it's a nice and cosy place. The staff were friendly. These are the usual reviews we always see.
This hotel in Palawan is a nice place, not only because they play Christian songs all day but it's quiet, clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful as well.

We got a room with twin double bed, a coffee and tea facility, cable television, hot and cold shower. For less than Php2,000 it comes with buffet breakfast for two. They also provided the toiletries except for the bedroom slippers but overall, we had a good night rest.
Of course, we also go out to see nearby tourist attraction but only two or three places - the Baker's Hill, Rancho Mitra, and Binuatan Creations. For the first time, I had Chaolong noodles in Palawan. Chaolong is popular in Palawan. Served hot and freshly cooked, with vegetables on the side. It has the blend of sweet and salty soup, not spicy. They uses atsuete to make it flavorful and red in color. I will share more stories in the future and on our couple lifestyle blog, Seats For Two.
