Monday Makeup Review: POP Studio Lipsticks

It's Monday again and we're ready for another makeup review. Guess what? I've got several skincare and makeup products to talk about in this blog. Where should I start? The number 1 face mask in Taiwan and Hong Kong or my current moisturizer which helped a minor skin problem? Perhaps, we should do a quick review first of the recently launched local makeup brand called POP Studio.

Last Friday, my friend Timmy and I attended the mini concert of the Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo at the Kia Theater in Cubao. It's special because I am happy with my friend who watched her favorite artist/idol Sarah. I was looking forward to see how she would react seeing her idol. Although not the first time she saw Sarah because she have watched several Sarah G concerts in Araneta and even mall shows. Timmy was shy and composed when Sarah came out.

Sarah G sung a few songs including Kilometro but the highlight of the event was the announcement made by Shopee Philippines that Sarah Geronimo is the newest brand ambassador for Shopee. That evening, her first ever makeup line was launched called Pop Studio.

Pop Studio Lipstick Review

A good friend sent me a box with six colors of Pop Studio lipstick. We put it into test during the weekend just at home and attending church service.

The collection features matte, long-lasting lipsticks in six (6) different shades  - red, brown, nude pink, rosy pink, and light purple.

Pop Studio Lip Balm

If you are prone to dry pout, don't worry because each this lipstick comes with a lip balm underneath so you get a lipstick and lip balm for the price of one.

Personally, I love matte lipstick because it makes my small lips an instant fill. Best of all, brown and dark pink matte lipsticks complements my skin tone.

I wore the POP Studio #02 attending the church service on Sunday morning. The shade #02 is not too bold but not too light that you may look pale, just enough to give your lips the natural color. Best for day time makeup.

POP Studio Shade #01 is the darkest from the six (6) colors. This brown matte lipstick is best worn in the evening for dinner dates and cocktail events.

If you prefer nude brown shade, the Pop Studio #03 and #04 (rosy pink) which has two shade darker. Pop Studio #05 is a subtle pink lip color.

Last but not the least, Pop Studio Lipstick #06 has the darkest and boldest shade among the six colors. It has a light purple shade, best for glam look and evening occasions. Lipstick retails at P249 each.
